As major sponsors of Monet in Paris, a major art event traveling around Australia for three years, Mitsubishi chose to showcase their Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle.

The combination of Monet’s impressionist art and Outlander PHEV’s kinder-to-the-environment credentials led to the idea articulation: Make an Impression, Not an Impact.

The content idea features Claude Monet plugging a charger cable into the Outlander PHEV and electrifying it with colour. The challenge was then to project it onto 30 giant venue screens of different shapes and sizes, many showing different scenes.

Add to that an outdoor activation featuring an Outlander PHEV electrically powering artificial intelligence kiosks where patrons get their portraits painted by Claude Monet and download it to their phones.

The result? A spectacular and cinematic production, not to mention many thousands of happy portrait hunters, and counting.
